THE QURANIC PERSPECTIVE ON WEALTH AND POSSESSION.

The Quran addresses the concept of treasures on earth in various verses, often emphasizing the transient nature of worldly possessions and the importance of focusing on the treasures of the Hereafter.

What Allah has stated in Quran about wealth's possession. what does a believer do to his wealth to stay connected to Allah.

Temporal Nature of Earthly Treasures:

"Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children - like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it turned yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion." (Quran 57:20)

Wealth as a Trial:

"And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient." (Quran 2:155)

True Treasures with Allah:

"But you prefer the worldly life, while the Hereafter is better and more enduring. Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, the scriptures of Abraham and Moses." (Quran 87:16-19)

The Illusion of Accumulating Wealth:

"And you love wealth with immense love. But no! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed - And your Lord has come and the angels, rank upon rank." (Quran 89:20-22)

Giving in Charity:

"Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over? And it is Allah who withholds and grants abundance, and to Him, you will be returned." (Quran 2:245)

Wealth and Children as a Test:

"Your wealth and your children are but a trial, and Allah has with Him a great reward." (Quran 64:15)

These verses remind believers to maintain perspective on the temporary nature of worldly possessions and to focus on actions that lead to lasting treasures in the Hereafter. The Quran encourages gratitude for the blessings of this world while cautioning against becoming overly attached to material wealth. The concept of charity and using one's wealth for the betterment of society is also emphasized as a means of accumulating spiritual treasures.

In conclusion, remember that wealth is a test from Allah, and it's how we use it that truly matters. Let's strive to use our wealth in a way that pleases Him and keeps us connected to our faith.
